ROAD REPORT

Our run to CO was blessed of God at every turn. I felt a “heaviness....an unseen resistance” through it all but God was so incredibly faithful! At every meeting we had scheduled, He would move and direct it and each meeting was uniquely different from each other. At the nightly meetings, several people received inner healing and also the infilling of the Holy Spirit. There was a definite call to repentance and a turning to God in preparation for the times ahead.

The Sunday morning Cowboy Church service at the Loveland rodeo was held in the brand new coliseum. We were greatly blessed to have at the beginning of the service an honor paid to our veterans. The color guard was presented along with a man dressed in a kilt playing the bagpipe. He played wonderful and it was moving. Then we did a “human video” using kids from the area who were involved in 4H and the fair. They performed the song “What Did He Die For” by Twila Paris with kids dressed in camouflage depicting a WWII scene of a young man giving his life for his country and for freedom. That was followed by a scene of Jesus being crucified with a young 4H’er doing an awesome job portraying Jesus on the cross and kids dressed as Roman soldiers buffeting him. Tyger and Colt played their usual part in it and our own Alyssa Merka came along with us on this trip and she “signed” the video as the others acted it out. Dennis and Jeanie Smith came with us on this run also and they played the part of the parents who received the telegram that their son had been killed in action. The kids we recruited had never seen it done before and only got to run through it fully 1 time. They did an incredible job! The large crowd was moved to tears as the video spoke more than words alone could ever do.

I ended up selling my paint, “Cowboy”
to a family in Loveland who just fell
in love with him. I think that it’s a
match “made in heaven.”

Sooooo, I’ve been trying out new prospects.
While out west, I got to try out a
different sort of “ride”. What do you think?
I would at least have the attention
of the crowd! Actually... though he had GREAT
stops and spins, I found him to be a little too.....
shall I say......bouncy??
I need something a little s-m-o-o-t-h-e-r.

OK.....seriously, I DO have a young black QH stallion who’s now 3 yrs. old. He is in training this winter and Lord willing, by next spring he will be ready to start out on the road. He seems to be well equipped physically and (hopefully) mentally for the job, but only when you actually start DOING it and putting them under that kind of pressure, do you know for
sure. He LOVES people and has a very sweet disposition. His registered name is “My Dashin Passion”, but we lovingly call him “Braveheart”. There’s a story behind that, but we’ll save it for another day.

WE LOVE Y’ALL!
