This is a short excerpt of an event that happened back in July of 2005.

For several weeks, we had been receiving inspiring and motivational messages from Crystal on generational curses and the importance of claiming the blood of Jesus over our property, possessions and family, and how they can affect your life today.

I had heard this teaching before, and never really took any action on my part. I basically just blew it off. Several weeks later, I was being ministered to, and was told I had a hindering spirit that was linked back to the Indians that had lived on our land. The Indians were known to cast spells on the white man. After this spirit was broken off of me, I realized I needed to anoint the boundaries of the ranch with oil, and claim it in the name of Jesus, and to break all generational curses. This land has been in my family since the 1840’s, and I had no idea of what had happened with the Indians or my ancestors. There are Indian graves and camp sites all over the river and creek banks on our property.

Back in May of 1999, this land was stripped, homes and barns were destroyed by an F-5 tornado. There was also the loss of my father from injuries received during this storm. I, myself, had injuries from flying debris that resulted in a blood disease (in the family of TB/leprosy). Praise God, during a Tuesday night church service in October 2004, the Lord healed by body. So after all of this, you can see I needed to get busy. The first chance I had, I saddled my horse “Slim” and started riding the fence lines; praying and anointing the fence posts and pleading the blood of Jesus over the property, the livestock and my family.

One afternoon in July 2005, a friend called me at the office, and reports that our pasture was on fire. He had already dispatched the fire department. My wife and I raced home and began fighting the fire, that was actually west of our ranch, in our neighbors pasture. the wind was blowing the fire toward our fence line. We angled our attack, trying to head off the fire, as the fire came to our fence line, the wind just quit blowing.......the smoke started to rise straight up. In a few minutes, the wind started to blow the opposite direction, causing the fire to die - right at the boundaries where we had anointed it and claimed it in the name of Jesus! My friend and I stood on the deck of the truck, looking at each other in unbelief of what we had just witnessed. It then occurred to me that the Lord had caused the winds to blow against the fire and extinguish itself.

HALLELUJAH!!! THANK YOU LORD!

I had just returned home from a wonderful service at Harvest Mill. I was pumped and overflowing from being in the presence of God. My husband, Lloyd got home from a work trip about 20 minutes later. He asked if I wanted to “go for a run”. In our life that does NOT mean what it does to most people. To us, it means we ride the 4-wheeler and Coco, our 4 year old chocolate lab runs along side. Well, until she hits a trail and goes off for her own adventure! So on Sunday, January 29, 2006, as we headed back to the house, Coco needed a swim. I was driving, but Lloyd instructed me to drive around the stock pond. The water level is low, so rather than drive on the dam, I drove on the dry dirt by the water. When I reached the side closest to our house, there was a pile of rocks that I didn’t think the machine would clear. As I attempted to go around the rocks, the ATV flipped over.

I asked Lloyd if he was OK, then took a personal inventory. I was very pleased to find every limb attached. However, my right hand was going way off to the left at my wrist. And there was a large “hump” connecting the hand and wrist. And although I’ve never had a broken bone, I knew my right shoulder was either separated or broken. Lloyd walked up to the house, got his truck, and piled me in amidst lots of yelling. I HAD to have a shower before going to ER because we had landed in the mud. I had started to call out to God immediately…telling Him, I could NOT have surgery. As soon as I walked into the house, I called a friend and asked her to start praying and enlist others to pray also. Lloyd had one bruise.

The triage nurse told me not to eat or drink anything in case my hand required surgery. Emergency Rooms are VERY busy. After several hours, I looked down and noticed that my hand was now straight. The x-ray revealed no break in my hand or wrist. The pain had also left my shoulder, but now I was feeling considerable pain when I moved my arm. A later x-ray revealed several broken ribs. They wrapped my wrist, put my arm in a sling, gave me a prescription for pain pills, told us to contact our regular doctor and sent us home. The reason I was crying out to God, “NO SURGERY!” was that I don’t tolerate meds very well. And this time was no different.

Crystal had preached an awesome sermon on Sunday, but it “was to be continued” on Tuesday night. Although I cannot remember who drove me to church, when Crystal saw me, she said, “Girl, what are you doing here?” I told her I was there to BE HEALED! That night God healed the broken ribs. Not a bit of pain in that area since.

OK, God has healed the wrist, the shoulder, and now the ribs. There was considerable internal tissue inflammation so I was still in lots of pain. Although my doctor was changing meds every couple of days nothing was working. There was no one to drive me to church on Sunday, February 5, so I swallowed 3 Tylenol and set out on my 1 hour and 15 minute drive to Harvest Mill. After another rousing sermon and incredible worship, I went to lunch with some friends. All of a sudden during lunch, I realized that there was no more pain! In two weeks, God had healed what the doctors said would take 12 weeks! I give all the Glory and Praise to God for the healing. But I must I add that beside all the prayer that was going on for me, coming into His Presence at the services at Harvest Mill was a BIG part of my healing miracle.

God Is My Pilot

I have ridden motorcycles for thirty-nine years. I have been in twenty-nine states, and covered some 300,000 miles. In that time, I have had two accidents. The first one, all I received was a sprained wrist. The second one is where God spared my life.

On November 11, 2005, I was on my way to Menard, TX to participate in a parade. About half way there, I hit a deer; I never saw the deer. It was by a guard rail. The miracle came then. The deer was knocked out of the way, I went past the deer – the bike never swayed. I turned around to see what had happened. The deer was dead. The only damage to my bike was to the front fender. God’s miracle was that I had escaped the accident without a scratch, and my life was spared. In my life, I have had four accidents. God has spared my life in all four without a scratch.

We serve an awesome God. I praise His Holy Name, and thank Him for sparing my life. I pray that you will put your life in the hands of God, for we serve an awesome God!
