A PROPHETIC WORD FOR OUR NATION

     Our nation has just set sail, as of the 08 elections, on something akin to the journey recorded in Acts chapter 27.  God’s people who have been keeping an ear to the voice of His Spirit are very well aware of the fact that we, as a nation, have embarked on a venture that will engulf this entire nation in a storm where short of God’s intervention, will sink us.  I wish I were only speaking economically but that is only one attribute of what our country is about to be engulfed in. 

 

THE STORM IS IMMINENT, "SAILING"...

MOVING ABOUT IN WORLD ECONOMY...

IS NOW DANGEROUS

 

     In the story of the 27th chapter of Acts, Paul is chained and a prisoner as a result of his own countrymen rejecting the voice of the Lord through his preaching.  He is being taken to Rome and as “much time has been spent and sailing is now dangerous”  (verse 9) Paul receives insight from the Lord that the effort to loose from the harbor they are in will result in economic loss, as well as the loss of lives.  How does this relate to America?  Much time has been spent, the prophetic voices have been speaking loud and clear of impending economic and national disaster if America does not stay within the “harbor” she was founded in.  Staying vitally connected to the Biblical principles that she was founded upon.  The voice of the Lord has gone unheeded and virtually rejected in this nation, even from most of the religious sector.  The storm is imminent, “sailing”...moving about in world economy…is now dangerous.  But the voice of the politically and economically empowered (the “masters” of the ship) are believed over the voice of those who carry no weight in world affairs but have heard the Word of the Lord for this season. 

    

  /files/holding/WORD IS PIX/STORM CLOUDS.jpg   Just as in verse 13, a gentle, soft, deceptive wind blew and those in control of the “ship” think they can obtain their purpose, and America has been thrust into open waters.  I find that the name of the storm is also prophetic.  Euroclydon:  Euros= “a storm from the East”    and  kludon= “a surge of the sea”   Sea often relates to peoples when having prophetic meaning.  So, we could surmise Euroclydon to simply mean a surging, a raging of people, a storm from the East.    
Violence and unrest will engulf America.  As we have “cut the lines” so to speak that held to certain principles whether morally, economically or politically, we will soon find that our lust for “freedom” from responsibilities and restraints will soon have us swallowed up in chaos.  Lawlessness will abound.  As Biblical restraints are cast off, constitutional guidelines are even now being erased and lawlessness is prevailing from the top of our nation’s political scene down to the fabric of local communities.  The “ship”…our nation amongst world affairs…is being “caught and driven” by this storm from the east, having no power to control its direction but simply caught up, driven and controlled by the thrust of the storm.  Efforts are even now being made to “undergird the ship” however weak and ineffective they may be, simply to try and keep our economy “afloat”.   Within the next few years we will see people unloading “things” as excess is being thrown overboard in an attempt to lighten the load and survival becomes the main focus. 

     During this time the prophetic voice for national guidance will be all but hidden as it has been rejected by this nation and is virtually “held in chains in the hold of the ship”.  But the people who know their God shall be strong and do exploits.  (Daniel 11:32)  God always has a people who have an ear to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying.  They are a remnant…never the majority, but they are those who long for His will to be accomplished more than they long for worldly comforts.  These people…and only God knows who they are and where they are…are hidden from the world.  They are in the hold of the ship.  IN the ship but not OF it.  They are being carried against their will and better judgment along with the rest of the people on board, directed by those controlling the ship…into this storm.

 

 BUT GOD HAS A PLAN AND

HE WILL NEVER FORSAKE HIS OWN 

 

     He has His people interceding for world affairs.  They seek His presence and await the “Word of the Lord” that will give divine direction in its perfect season.  They may not be in the public eye, as the world is not even aware of their existence, but they have a vital place in God’s economy for world affairs and at the right moment, they will come to the forefront with the wisdom of God that is desperately needed for the hour to save people from their own destruction.   

     I saw a quote on the web-site, www.magpul.com that perfectly describes what I’m saying.  “In desperate times, the one who can keep you alive is the one in power.  Not the one with the fanciest hat.”  As in this story, Paul was a prisoner aboard ship and became master of it before the event was over, simply because he was the one who had the wisdom of God when all man’s wisdom had been exhausted and had come to utter failure.  Need for survival is a great tool to direct people back to a position of dependence upon the God Who is Master of the universe.   When all man’s wisdom has failed and chaos reigns, people who have been deaf to the Word of the Lord are suddenly open to hear what God has to say.   This is the scenario we are embarked upon.  Those who have been “practicing” a lifestyle of sitting in the Lord’s presence and listening for His voice will soon be in great demand, though now they may simply be a “prisoner on board a ship” that’s been cut loose in the raging waters of world affairs, bloody wars, growing terrorism and failing world economy.  Men’s hearts will fail them for fear of what is coming.  Only those who’s trust is ESTABLISHED in the Lord will have the wisdom and courage to stand in the coming storm. 

     The voice of the Lord WILL BE HEARD in the earth.  Right now, the world wants His voice to be silenced but as times get tougher, the Word of the Lord will be worth more than gold.  God desires a people who will give Him VOICE.  It is His VOICE that Satan wants silenced.  It is His VOICE that releases the power to change world direction.  Christians have been seduced with the desire to have our face recognized when God is looking for a “faceless” generation that simply wants to release HIS VOICE!   

 

ONLY THE WORD OF THE LORD

CAN HOLD US UP IN THE STORM THAT IS

GOING TO ENGULF THIS NATION

 

     The storm IS COMING.  There is no political endeavor that can circumvent it from happening.  We have cut loose from the moral values that govern free societies.  Stability has been traded for the promise of “change”.  We’ve traded freedom for the promise of government handouts.  Constitutional “ropes” that hold our nation in its rightful harbor have been cut.  Only the Word of the Lord can hold us up in the storm that is going to engulf this nation.   But in the midst of it all, the Spirit of God calls a people to Himself and says “fear not”…in the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer, Jesus has overcome the world and is the ONLY force Who can keep our nation from sinking into oblivion.  I believe God has a destiny and a purpose for this nation that is yet to be fulfilled.  His people may be in the “hold of the ship”, being carried in a direction that we know is destructive, but as we look to Him and release ourselves into His care and His ways for this generation, we will hear His voice and be a viable force to be reckoned with in the days ahead.
