If we don’t stand in the authority
that God ordains us to stand in,
we forfeit that place of authority
over to enemy forces.
It was God that I even saw him. He was so camouflaged in the leaves and so small. I stepped back to see if I actually saw what I thought I saw. I ran and got boots on and a garden hoe and chopped him in half. Sure enough, his fangs proved him to be a viper.
I praise God for His protection! I felt strongly that the Holy Spirit was wanting to say something to me through this and as I pulled up the daily prophetic word sent over the Internet from Bill and Marsha Burns, called Small Straws In A Soft Wind, it spoke of needing to be alert to discern invasions into the boundaries of our authority. Wow! Couldn't be much more accurate than that. I am obviously taking this word personally but I feel it's accurate for the body of Christ at this time as well.

If we don't stand in the authority that God ordains us to stand in, we forfeit that place of authority over to enemy forces. A pastor who doesn't stand in his place of authority gives place for wolves and Jezebels to come in and wreck havoc. A parent who doesn't stand in their place of authority gives control of their household over to the children or outside forces. A politician, who doesn't use his authority for good, gives it over to evil. Every void creates a vacuum that will be filled by something negative if the positive influence assigned to that place doesn't actively walk in their authority.
We are headed for exciting times as
the Lord is coming close and
re-claiming what belongs to HIM.
Sometimes NOT to move in our authority is looked at as humility, when in fact it can simply be negligence. Negligence allows evil influences to move into areas they would not have been able to move into if the one assigned to that place had been faithfully doing their job.
What is your sphere of authority? Don't say you have none because you do. Whatever it is, submit yourself and it to God's leadership. HE wants to take possession of HIS earth! That earth starts with you. Our bodies are made of earth. First, give Him that. NEXT, give him the sphere of authority that you are assigned in life, in your home, at your job, within your family. We are headed for exciting times as the Lord is coming close and re-claiming what belongs to HIM. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness there of. He is calling for accountability within His servants. Have we ruled well over what He has placed us over? We, His people are not waiting for Him to come and whip the devil for us! He's waiting for US to faithfully stand in the place He has positioned us and keep the devil out! Guard your yard well, discern the enemy, see the snake and chop off his head! When the Lord shows up, He will reward you for your faithfulness.
Guard your yard well,
discern the enemy,
see the snake and chop off his head!
I love the stories of David's mighty men. One of them got written up simply because he stood in a field of lintels against impossible odds and said "NO, I'm not giving up one inch of God's ground to the enemy!". It was a BEAN field!!! Who cares about a bean field? It's not like he was fighting to protect the palace steps! This guy was willing to give his life for a meager assignment of protecting a bean field. He stood faithful in his place of authority while everyone else abandoned their post and God backed him with a supernatural outcome.
God LOVES this stuff!!
Are you hungering to see God move supernaturally in your life? Stand faithfully in whatever place of authority you hold. Keep the "snake" out of your God given turf. It matters not if no one sees.....God sees! Protect your boundaries. Stand faithfully in the authority you have and God will increase it.
