We are entering a time where it’s not simply good enough to be able to judge something
by what’s right or wrong.  Should we judge whether something is right or wrong? 
Absolutely, but that’s not going to be enough for the coming days.  Let me explain.

 

In Luke 4 when the Devil was tempting Jesus, he told Jesus to feed His own hunger
by turning the stones to bread to prove that He was truly the Son of God.  If Jesus had
simply judged the situation by whether the act of turning rocks to bread was wrong,
He would have done it.  Why not?  He was hungry.  He had finished the 40 day fast. 
He turned water into wine.  Nothing wrong with rocks into bread!

It wasn’t the ACT that was wrong in itself.  What was “wrong” was WHO was initiating
the action!  It wasn’t the act….it was the SOURCE behind the action that was wrong! 
Jesus refused to be moved by any voice other than His Father’s.  The source and the
motivation behind the act of turning rocks to bread was what was wrong.  Jesus didn’t
need to prove Himself to anyone, but even more importantly, He Himself said many times…..He only did what He saw His Father do.  His Father wasn’t the source
behind the thought, so He refused to move on it. 

There is a deceptive spirit unleashed in the world that will only increase in the days
ahead.  The first warning from Jesus’ lips when mentioning the last days was…. “Take
heed that you be not deceived”.  If we are a people who only want to do what looks
right….we’ll miss it.  We must be a people so in love with our Lord that we don’t want
to do ANYTHING that’s not of Him.  We have to go deeper than to simply judge
something by the outward appearances of right or wrong.  Take for instance being
transported in the spirit.  It’s in the Bible…both old and new testaments…where people
were transported bodily or in the spirit.  Yet most of us were raised being told that out
of body experiences were wrong.  Why?  Because people deep in the occult are doing it. 
Well, God’s people have been doing it for centuries….long before the occult!  So….
what determines whether an out of body experience is right or wrong?  The SOURCE
behind the experience.  If the act itself is wrong, Enoch was wrong, Elijah, Ezekiel, Paul, Philip, Jesus….and many others were all WRONG.  Well, they WEREN’T wrong….
they were those who walked closely with the Lord and got to taste the power of the age to come.  God desires to have a people living FROM heaven while still on the earth! 
Therefore, some things that you THOUGHT were off limits may not be!!  Radical things
are happening right now amongst the people of God that are AWESOME!  Just make
sure you know the source behind the power you are tapping into!

People can be involved in GOOD things and the motive behind what they do is for personal gain, acceptance, the need to feel important, etc., etc.  They can be doing good things and
the motivation behind what they do be totally selfish and self-centered.  That doesn’t mean
that what’s done isn’t needed or doesn’t bless others, what it DOES mean is that GOD
MAY NOT BE IN IT…..and therefore isn’t calling you to join up!    
Back in the early 30’s a charismatic leader stepped on the scene and promised to bring economic recovery to a nation that was bankrupt.  He vowed to clean the streets of pornography and prostitution and lead his nation back to a place of notoriety and power. 
This man in a few short years accomplished all those incredible promises and people
hailed him as a man sent from God for their country.  Even ministers jumped on the band wagon and extolled him from pulpits in churches all across the nation.  This man’s name
was Hitler.  We cannot simply judge by outward appearances and good deeds….
discern the SOURCE!

In II Thess. 2, speaking of the deceptions in the end days, the Bible states people will be deceived because they don’t LOVE the truth.  It didn’t say they didn’t KNOW the truth.  History is full of people who knew the truth but were deceived.  It’s one thing to KNOW
the truth and quite another to be a LOVER of truth!  

In these days, many “good” organizations have arisen that do good things….but they have hidden agendas that are deadly.  We must KNOW the Lord…learn His ways and love HIM.  The more we love truth…..the less chance of being drawn away into deception.  The more
our hearts are knitted to truth….the easier it will be for the Spirit of God to move us out
of our comfort zone and into the radical workings of Kingdom power!
